Location

This story takes place in a realm called Vandis. Consider it a place with natural magic along side other rather normal technology. There are no vehicles in Vandis but there are other means of transportation, like the runic sky ships or advanced teleport circles. There are quite a few regions in heated warfare and those areas are generally in the Outer Realm. The Inner Realm in contrast is peaceful. That peace comes at a price though. The 18th Corridor currently rules the Inner Realm with a secretive specialized group of combatants. There are alliances and opposition to the 18th Corridor's way of ruling. Various groups and people have tried to come against them and many have faced defeat. Vandis has access points to the other realms though its usually difficult for normal beings to pass through unharmed.

The Dark Star starts in the forest area near Avon. They do travel to many places later on as the story progresses but for them, Avon is home.
