Ryuusei Backstory

Childhood: Ryuusei is the third child of Souissei and Hitsuyo. He was kept hidden for much of his early childhood as his parents feared for his safety. The only people he saw growing up were his mother's trusted family and their children. His parents taught him what they knew about his innate water/light abilities but were unable to help him any with his other powers. Ryuusei was a quiet and obedient kid who could only be comforted by Hitsuyo. He hardly argued with his family.

The Incident: Ryuusei was about twelve when he woke with a fright during the night. He rushed through the hallway to his parents room but it was dark. He was startled and unknowingly had harmed Hitsuyo who was going to check on him. Hitsuyo had been impaled with a large shard of ice. Souissei is alarmed and tries to heal his wounds. Ryuusei is stunned. He decides to run away from home that very instant. He had hid in a cave for a while until he was confronted by Tsira. He had decided to travel even farther away this time.

Teenage Years: After running away and getting swindled into taking a teleport rune to a huge dangerous city, Ryuusei realizes that he can't return home. He's alone. He makes a place for himself in Phoenix Red and begins to learn more complex and frightening magic.
